Ball was born in Anaheim, California, to LaVar and Tina Ball, both former college basketball players. Standing at 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 m), he began playing basketball at the age of two and idolized LeBron James, whom he started following at age six during James’s first NBA season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
