Early life

Jacques Bermon Webster II was born April 30, 1991, in Houston, Texas. From the age of one to six, Webster resided with his grandmother in South Park, Houston. The neighborhood was infamous for crime, which had an impact on young Webster. “Growing up, my grandmother stayed in the neighborhood, so I saw all kinds of odd stuff. Mad bums and insane spazzed out motherfuckers, I saw people who looked strange, famished, and grimy. Webster established The Graduates with his old buddy Chris Holloway. The pair published their first EP, unnamed, via the social networking website Myspace in 2008. The following year, Scott and one of his classmates, OG Chess, founded the group The Classmates. In 2009, the Classmates collaborated with Buddy Rich on a project, and in 2010, they published Cruis’n USA. Scott was responsible for the majority of the production work on both projects. The duo remained together until late 2012, when personal difficulties and financial disagreements forced the group’s disbandment.

In Los Angeles, Webster was abandoned by a buddy who had pledged to aid him with accommodation.
