Early life

Addison went to Frederick, Maryland’s Tuscarora High School. In high school, he alternated between wide receiver, quarterback, and defensive back. He made a commitment to play football at the University of Pittsburgh.

College career

Addison started eight out of ten games as a true freshman at Pittsburgh in 2020. He led the club with 60 receptions for 666 yards and four touchdowns. In 2021, he returned as a starter for Pittsburgh. In 2021, he led college football in touchdown receptions with 17 throughout the regular season while receiving 100 passes for 1,593 yards. He was named an All-American by consensus and received the Fred Biletnikoff Award in 2021.  Addison revealed in May 2022 that he was transferring to the University of Southern California to play for the Trojans football team. He elected to wear the Trojans’ #3, which had already been retired in honor of Carson Palmer, the 2002 Heisman Trophy winner.
