Dan Lanning Biography Daniel Arthur Lanning (b. April 10, 1986) is an American football coach at the University of Oregon. He formerly served as the defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach at the University of Georgia from 2019 to 2021. From 2004 to 2007, Lanning played college football as a linebacker at William Jewell College. He has also coached at Park Hill South High School in Kansas City, Missouri, the University of Pittsburgh, Arizona State University, Sam Houston State University, the University of Alabama, the University of Memphis, the University of Georgia, and the University of Oregon.
