Robshaw is the second of three boys and faced the trauma of his father’s death when he was just five years old. His mother, Patricia, raised him and his brothers on her own. He began playing rugby at the age of seven for Warlingham RFC and attended Cumnor House School. He later moved on to Millfield Preparatory School and then to Millfield public school, where he captained the first team. Robshaw was engaged to his girlfriend of six years, Camilla Kerslake, before they tied the knot in France on 29 June 2018. On 8 February 2021, it was announced that the couple was expecting their first child, due in May 2021.

Club Career

Chris Robshaw made his Premiership debut during the London double-header at the start of the 2007–2008 season. He was soon included in the England Saxons squad that won the Churchill Cup in the summer of 2008. Starting in the 2014–15 season, he served as both the first team and club vice-captain for Harlequins, later stepping down as captain to focus on his role as England captain. Robshaw is a two-time Aviva Premiership Player of the Year, winning the award first after the 2008/09 season and again following Harlequins’ title-winning campaign in 2011/12.

He played a crucial role in Harlequins’ 2011–12 Premiership final victory over Leicester Tigers, starting the match and scoring a try. In June 2020, it was confirmed that Robshaw would remain with Harlequins for the extended 2019–20 season. Robshaw joined San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He announced his retirement from professional rugby on 21 October 2022.

International Career

Robshaw represented England Schools Under 18 in January 2004 before making his First XV debut during the 2005–2006 season, where he scored two tries in a 42–3 victory over the Pertemps Bees at The Stoop. He was also part of the England Under 21 squad that competed in the 2006 Six Nations Championship and the Under 21 Rugby World Championship that same year. On 12 December 2008, Will Greenwood noted that Robshaw was in contention for international honors, drawing comparisons to World Cup-winning flanker Richard Hill. He was name in the England squad for matches against the Barbarians and Argentina on 19 May 2009.

He was includ in the England EPS squad on 25 January 2010, following a knee injury to Tom Croft.
