Missi was born in Belgium on May 14, 2004, but grew up in Yaoundé, Cameroon. He moved to the United States in 2021 to attend West Nottingham Academy in Maryland. Later, he transferred to Prolific Prep in Napa, California, where he averaged 9.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. As a highly sought-after five-star recruit, Missi was ranked as the second-best player in California, the 13th-best player nationally, and the third-best center by ESPN.
In 2023, Missi played at the Nike Hoop Summit and helped lead Prolific Prep to victory in The Grind Session World Championship, securing a spot at the GEICO High School Nationals.
