Boxing Career
Nunes made his amateur boxing debut on September 28, 2019, at the New Champion 2: Grandes Combates event in Alphaville, São Paulo, Brazil. He won the fight via unanimous decision against Mario Silva. In an exhibition bout on January 30, 2022, Nunes faced former WBO super featherweight champion Acelino Freitas at the Duo Art Ice in Alphaville, São Paulo. The fight ended in a draw after Nunes suffered a significant cut but managed to finish the eight-round bout.
In March 2023, Nunes signed a multi-fight deal with Kingpyn Boxing to participate in their High Stakes Tournament. On April 22, 2023, he fought Polish MMA fighter Filipek in the quarter-finals at Wembley Arena in London, winning via technical knockout in the second round. Nunes’ first professional boxing match was announced for October 14, 2023, against Thai YouTuber My Mate Nate on the undercard of the MF & DAZN: X Series 10 event at the Manchester Arena in England. However, Nunes lost the fight via unanimous decision. On May 21, 2024, it was announced that Nunes would face Indian professional boxer Neeraj Goyat on the undercard of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20, 2024. However, due to a personal issue involving Mike Tyson, the event was postponed and rescheduled to November 15, 2024, at the same venue. In this bout, Nunes lost to Goyat by unanimous decision.
