Steven Adams Biography: Steven Funaki Paea He Ofa Ki Loa Adams born July 20, 1993 is a professional basketball player from New Zealand, currently playing for the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association (NBA). After a season with the Wellington Saints in 2011, Adams moved to the United States in 2012 to play college basketball at the University of Pittsburgh. He entered the 2013 NBA Draft and was selected 12th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Adams became the Thunder’s starting center for six straight seasons. In November 2020, he was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans, and in August 2021, he joined the Memphis Grizzlies. After two and a half seasons in Memphis, Adams was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2024.
