Club career
When Hughes-Mason was seven years old, he began playing for Arsenal’s young team alongside Jack Wilshere and Emmanuel Frimpong. The club decided he was too tiny, and at fourteen, he was let go. After that, he spent a season playing for his hometown rivals Tottenham Hotspur, but he was not awarded a scholarship. Hughes-Mason received an offer from Millwall to study on a scholarship after being freed. Hughes-Mason, then 17 years old, made his Millwall professional debut in August 2009 following two years in the youth section. After being named on the bench for the next match, he was unable to establish himself and left for Cheltenham Town in April 2010. He did not, however, appear for the League Two team, where he stayed until.
Alongside PSG forward Yoann Arquin, Hughes-Mason participated in a trial with Swindon Town in July 2010. However, he failed to make an impression and eventually returned to Millwall. He went on a one-month loan to Tooting & Mitcham United in August 2010 and returned for a second stint in November. Hughes-Mason signed a loan with Conference South team Chelmsford City in February 2011 and played in six games over the season’s final stretch. International career
Hughes-Mason is of Antiguan and Barbudan, Dominican, and Grenadian ancestry. He was born in the Hackney neighborhood of London. He qualified for the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship qualifiers against Dominica, Grenada, and Curaçao through his mother, and in August 2012, he was called up to the Antigua and Barbuda Under-20 squad. But Hughes-Mason didn’t fulfill the age requirements, thus there was an eligibility confusion that prevented him from playing when he showed up for the games.
Managerial career
