Bobb, who was born in Oslo, played for Lyn during his youth. In 2013, he started gaining interest from Porto in Portugal following a strong performance at a youth competition in Algarve. Porto contacted Bobb’s mother, Turid Gunnes, to persuade the promising young player to join them, even covering their trip to visit the club. Gunnes relocated to Portugal on her own in October 2015 and completed the necessary paperwork in November of the same year for Bobb to join the Portuguese Football Federation. Despite FIFA rejecting the paperwork in January 2016, Bobb and his mother stayed in Porto.
In January 2017, he tried to sign with Escola de Futebol Hernâni Gonçalves. However, FIFA was not convinced that Gunnes had moved to Portugal willingly to pursue an acting career or that the Escola de Futebol Hernâni Gonçalves was separate from Porto. As a result, Bobb was denied an international transfer certificate. The matter was taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which supported FIFA’s decision, instructing Bobb to return to Norway. He later signed with Vålerenga, a club based in Oslo.
