Later, he pushed his reach to North Dakota and eventually joined the Legacy Fighting Alliance, where he became known for his stunning knockout victory over David Nuzzo. Following his victory over Nuzzo, O’Malley won a berth on Dana White’s Contender Series 2. In this event, he met Alfred Khashakyan and delivered a stunning first-round knockout, earning him a contract to compete in the UFC.

Early Life and Career

Sean O’Malley started his combat sports career with boxing. He trained in boxing for two years and competed in a boxing battle in 2016, which he won by TKO in the first round. He began training in MMA alongside his boxing. He made his amateur debut against Stein Anderson in Fight Force – Helena Havoc 11. He won the bout via second-round TKO and went on to have a 7-1 amateur record before turning professional. O’Malley made his professional MMA debut in 2015 at ICF 17 against John Reyes, where ‘Sugar’ outperformed Reyes and TKO’d him in the first round with punches. He carried his debut enthusiasm into his next four ICF fights, winning each. After that, he competed and won a fight at Extreme Beatdown and Legacy.
