Pradeep Gawande is an IAS officer belonging to the 2013 class. He is well-known for being engaged to Tina Dabi, the top contender and winner of the 2015 civil service exam. Pradeep Gawande is less experienced than Tina Dabi by three years. Pradeep Gawande was a doctor before he cleared the civil service examinations. In the 2012 UPSC Civil Services Exams, Pradeep Gawande achieved an All India Rank of 478, hence becoming an IAS officer of the 2013 batch. Roll number 442735 belongs to him. Pradeep is an MBBS. He passed the civil services test and was select for the Rajasthan cadre in 2013. Shortly after, he was sent to Bundi to receive training as an assistant collector.

In 2015, he was the Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Chemical Fertilizers and the SDM in Dholpur. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the Jodhpur Zilla Parishad from November 2016 to May 2018. The Bikaner Municipal Council hired him as its CEO in April 2018 and he left in February 2020.He started working as the Churu Collector on July 2, 2020, and he did so until January 6, 2021. He was RSLDC’s MD from January 4, 2021, to October 4, 2021. In March 2022, he was named Director of Archaeology & Museums in Rajasthan, India.

Controversy

2021 saw Pradeep Gawande in the news as a result of a bribery probe. Three teams from the Anti-Corruption Bureau targeted Ashok Sangwan, the coordinator, and Rahul Kumar Garg, the manager of the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC) in the cities of Jaipur and Jodhpur. These two were apprehend by the Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs. 5 lakh. Pradeep Gawande was the RSLDC Chief Manager at the time, and he was linked to the bribery case. ACB Director-General BL Soni stated as much during a press conference, claiming that Pradeep Gawande ran out of answers during the investigation.
