Piyush Goyal Biography Piyush Vedprakash Goyal, born on 13 June 1964, is an Indian politician and chartered accountant. He has held various portfolios in the Government of India, including Minister of Textiles, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He was appointed as a Cabinet Minister on 3 September 2017. Goyal was born in Mumbai to Chandrakanta Goyal and Ved Prakash Goyal.
