Early Life and Education
Kayleigh McEnany was born on April 18, 1988, in Tampa, Florida, and raised in the area. She is the daughter of Michael McEnany, a commercial roofing company owner, and Leanne McEnany. McEnany attended the Academy of the Holy Names, a private Catholic preparatory school in Tampa. She later pursued a degree in international politics at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C., and studied abroad at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford. While at Oxford, she was taught politics by future British Labour politician Nick Thomas-Symonds.
After earning her degree from Georgetown in 2010, McEnany spent three years working as a producer on The Mike Huckabee Show. She began law school at the University of Miami, where she was awarded the Bruce J. Winick Award for Excellence, given to students in the top 1% of their class. She later transferred to Harvard Law School and graduated in 2016.
