He also made his first-class debut for Vidarbha in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 1 November 2018. In December 2018, he was purchased by Punjab Kings in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL). Darshan Nalkande played his first Twenty20 match for Vidarbha in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 February 2019. Later, in February 2022, he was acquired by the Gujarat Titans in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament. Subsequently, in April 2022, he marked his IPL debut against Punjab Kings.
