In Stuttgart, Germany, Hashimoto participated in the World Championships, where his team finished third overall. His finishes on the pommel horse and horizontal bar were 9th and 4th, respectively. When Hashimoto won the national all-around championship, it was his big break. Prior to being eclipsed by Zhang Boheng’s 88.565 performance at the Chinese Olympic Trials, his score of 88.532 was the highest of 2021.
