Though raised in Vadodara, Gujarat, Avinash Sachdev was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on August 22, 1986. Both his mother and father are named Pooja Sachdev and Vijay Sachdev, respectively. Vadodara is where he finished school. As Sachdev was prescribed spectacles, he was unable to fulfill his first dream of serving in the Indian Administrative Service as an Air Force Pilot. In 2006, Sachdev started his acting career after returning to Mumbai and pursuing his interest in film production.
Career
Sachdev competed in the Gladrags Model Hunt following his victories in pageants such as Mr. Baroda, Mr. University, and Mr. Gujarat (2004–2005). When he was eighteen, he offered his services as an assistant director on Hatim. Additionally, he helped Farhan Akhtar in Rock On!! (2008) by volunteering. He started acting in television spots, promoting TVS Scooty. In the drama serial Karam Apnaa Apnaa on StarPlus, Sachdev made his acting debut in a cameo role in 2006. In the drama series Khwaish on Sony TV, he played a small role in 2007–2008. In 2008, he played a double negative character in the StarPlus drama series Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.
In the Zee TV drama series Chotti Bahu, Sachdev played the character of Dev Purohit. This was his first prominent role. Dev is a straightforward young man who values his family and tries hard to live up to their expectations. He must overcome the difficulties of seeking his own happiness while upholding his family’s ideals when he meets a lady for whom he has affections. Sachdev returned to Chotti Bahu in 2011 for a new storyline in the second season as Dev Purohit. He took part in a number of international tours and concerts following the conclusion of the series. He made appearances in the Zee Night Concerts in 2010, 2011, and 2012, costarring with Rubina Dilaik in Chotti Bahu. 2012 saw Sachdev take part as well.
