Born in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, on February 18, 1985, Park is the youngest of three children with two older sisters. His family experienced financial difficulties after his father lost his banking job during the Asian financial crisis (IMF crisis). Although he initially attended the French language department at Gwacheon Foreign Language High School, he struggled to find interest in academics. It wasn’t until his third year that he began seriously considering a future in acting.
