Early life and Education

The village of Khandra, in the Panipat district of Haryana. Is where Neeraj Chopra was born into a Haryanvi Ror family. His family works primarily in agriculture, and he has two sisters. BVN Public School was his school of choice. After earning his diploma from Chandigarh’s Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College. He enrolled in Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar, Punjab, in 2021 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree. A straight appointment as a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Rajputana Rifles with the rank of Naib Subedar was extended to Chopra by the Indian Army .Which was impressed with his performance at the South Asian Games and his future potential. He enrolled in the army under the sports quota after accepting the offer.

Athletics career

Chopra’s father registered him in a Madlauda gymnasium when neighborhood kids made fun of him for being overweight as a child. He was then enrolled in a Panipat gym. He started throwing javelins after seeing several other players at Shivaji Stadium in Panipat. In the winter of 2010, Chopra went to the Panipat Sports Authority of India (SAI) center. Where Neeraj and Ghaziabad’s javelin thrower Akshay Choudhary were practicing early potential. Choudhary became Chopra’s first coach after witnessing his drive and being astonished by his ability to throw 40 meters without any training.
