Matthew William Lawrence is the middle child of Donna Lawrence (née Shaw), a personnel manager, and Joe Lawrence Sr., an insurance broker. His older brother, Joey Lawrence, is also an actor, while his younger brother, Andrew Lawrence, pursued acting as well. Matthew is best known for playing Jack Hunter on Boy Meets World (1993) and for his role opposite Robin Williams and Sally Field in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993). He later starred in The Hot Chick (2002) and appeared on hit shows like CSI: Miami (2002). In 2014, he reprised his role as Jack Hunter on Girl Meets World Season 2, where he guest-starred alongside Will Friedle. At just three years old, Matthew began accompanying his mother and older brother Joey to New York City for singing, dancing lessons, and commercial auditions. The family adopted Joey’s middle name, Lawrence, as their stage surname.
