Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on April 5, 1986, to Ric Flair and his then-wife Elizabeth Harrell. She has an older half-sister, Megan, an older half-brother, David, and a younger brother, Reid, who tragically passed away on March 29, 2013. During her time at Providence High School, Flair won two NCHSAA 4A State championships in volleyball and was named team captain and player of the year for the 2004–2005 season.
She attended Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, playing volleyball for the 2005 and 2006 seasons before transferring to North Carolina State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in public relations in Spring 2008. She also became a certified personal trainer prior to pursuing a career in wrestling. In December 2004, Flair was present at ringside for the episode of Raw in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, during the WWE Women’s Championship match between Lita and Trish Stratus.

• Back in 2008, Charlotte was arrested for assaulting a police officer. She plead guilty to the charges and was sentence to 45 days of imprisonment. However, the punishment was later suspend and the ‘future genetically superior athlete’ got away with ‘supervise probation’ and a fine of $200.
• Like many other WWE superstars, Charlotte fell victim to a “hack-attack” when her private photos were stolen and leaked online in May 2017. The photos had reportedly shown a nude Charlotte taking multiple selfies in front of a mirror with her cell phone.
