Jade Nicole Cargill born June 3, 1992 is an American professional wrestler, currently signed to WWE, where she competes on the SmackDown brand. As of September 2023, she is one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, alongside Bianca Belair, in their record-tying second reign. Cargill is also recognized for her time in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) from 2020 to 2023, where she became the inaugural AEW TBS Champion and held the title for a record-breaking 508 days, the longest single reign for any AEW championship.

Cargill developed an interest in becoming a professional wrestler and was introduced to WWE veteran Mark Henry through a mutual friend. Following Henry’s advice, whom she considers her “mentor,” she attended the Face 2 Face wrestling school in Morrow, Georgia, in 2018. The school was owned by Heath Slater, Ron Simmons, and Teddy Long. In April 2019, Cargill participated in a WWE tryout at the WWE Performance Center. She then continued her training at AR Fox’s WWA4 Academy. Later, she trained at the Nightmare Factory under Q.T. Marshall and Dustin Rhodes. In 2021, when Sonjay Dutt and Bryan Danielson joined AEW, they began coaching Cargill at the request of AEW founder Tony Khan. After signing with WWE in 2023, Cargill received further training at their Performance Center.

Jade Cargill Early Life
Cargill was born in Gifford, Florida, and is of Jamaican descent, with her father being a first-generation immigrant from Jamaica. She began playing basketball at the age of six and attended several schools, including Sebastian River High School, Florida Air Academy, and Vero Beach High School, where she helped her teams win two district basketball championships. In 2009, Cargill played for the Orlando Comets in Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball.
She went on to attend Jacksonville University, where she played basketball for the Jacksonville Dolphins as a forward/guard. In her sophomore year, she earned Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honors. During her senior year, she led the team in rebounds and steals and was named to the Atlantic Sun Preseason First Team. While at Jacksonville University, Cargill became a member of the Omicron Delta chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. After graduating with a degree in social science, Cargill spent time in France, playing basketball and modeling. She later earned a master’s degree in child psychology and worked with foster children as a child psychologist until 2019.
