Controversy

A lady employed as a contract employee at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata accused Bose of sexual harassment on May 2, 2024. The woman claimed that on April 24, 2024, the governor had “molested” her. During the 2024 Indian general election, Bose categorically refuted the issue, branding it as a political ploy. He countered by declaring that “truth would triumph” and that he would not be “cowed down by engineered narratives.” The women’s ties to the ruling Trinamool Congress were also questioned by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Communist Party of India (Marxist). The complaint was submitted by the woman and was sent to the Hare Street Police station. An investigation team was formed by Kolkata Police, and they are looking for CCTV video. A different claim of sexual harassment was made against.
