Carse signed a development agreement with Durham in 2016 and debuted for them in the County Championship the same year. During his first season, he took 17 wickets and earned a two-year extension. A knee injury sidelined him in 2018, but he was later offered a three-year contract in September of that year. His List A debut came in April 2019 for Durham in the Royal London One-Day Cup. Carse joined the Northern Superchargers for The Hundred’s 2022 season in April 2022. International career
