Career
With the goal of becoming an international Indian rapper, Akash dropped out of college in 2011 to focus on his profession as a rapper. After taking on the stage name ACA$H, he struggled at first before finally breaking through when he joined forces with Meet Brothers, a well-known Bollywood band. His claims to have contributed to the song “Chittiyan Kalaiyaan” were refuted by the band, who said that his lack of professionalism and expertise meant that his contribution was minor. In spite of this setback, Akash kept working with well-known people in the music business, such as the well-known Punjabi vocalist Sukhwinder Singh. Controversy
While competing on Bigg Boss 11, in December 2017, Akash Dadlani caused a sensation by forcing a kiss on fellow competitor Shilpa Shinde. He was also called a “panty-sniffer” by Shilpa, who also accused him of acting inappropriately. Later on, Akash acknowledged his error and insisted that he had not meant any harm. Akash came under fire during the show for disparaging co-contestant Benafsha Soonawalla and body-shaming her. In addition, he inappropriately pressed another competitor Lucinda Nicholas for physical intimacy even after she declined. Lucinda pointed out that he treated women disrespectfully and remarked that she felt uncomfortable with his advances. Furthermore, Akash provoked arguments with Vikas Gupta and Priyank Sharma, among other contenders. Following a violent fight with the host, Priyank was ultimately kicked from the show.
