Early life
Hope was born and brought up in Newcastle upon Tyne by her Nigerian mother Adeline Nwosu and her English father Nigel Hope. Three of her brothers are younger. She studied modern languages at Cambridge’s Emmanuel College and speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and French. In interviews, Hope has discussed learning Spanish on her own and attending night sessions in Newcastle to complete additional A-Level topics in order to secure a spot at Cambridge. Her career started during her “year abroad” at university in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There, at the age of 19, she was hired as the youngest journalist in history by the independent English-language expat newspaper The Argentina Independent. Career
Hope co-hosted the Capital Breakfast show in London with Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay from 2017 until 2020. She was the Weekend Breakfast host on Capital Xtra, the sister station, prior to this. Hope joined Classic FM in 2019 and co-hosts the station’s Revision Hour with Ellie Goulding, Dan Smith, and Lewis Capaldi. Hope took Cel Spellman’s place as co-host of BBC Radio 1’s Life Hacks and Official Chart: First Look in August 2020, co-starring with Katie Thistleton. It was announced in June 2021 that Hope and Jordan North would co-host the drive-time show Going Home with Vick and Jordan on BBC Radio 1 starting on September 6, 2021. North departed the station in February 2024, thus on March 4th, 2024, Thistleton and Jamie Laing joined Hope. June and July of 2022 saw Hope host.

Personal life
Hope, an advocate for human rights and an ambassador for Amnesty International, was the host of the Amnesty stage during the 2018 Women’s March in London. As an ambassador for Choose Love, formerly known as Help Refugees, Hope collaborates closely with them as well. She is also actively involved with Made By Sport, a nonprofit that she co-founded with Anthony Joshua and Prince Harry to support underprivileged youth via sport. Apart from her charitable endeavors, Hope also works as a volunteer at a weekly refugee initiative in her neighborhood of Hackney, London, where she assists youngsters from families who are applying for asylum. In November 2017, Hope’s romance with actor Tom Rosenthal from Friday Night Dinner came to an end. She became engaged to DJ Calvin Harris in May of 2022.
