Professional career
In 2018, Rogers began his professional career with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, where he pitched to a 2–7 record with a 5.82 ERA in 17 starts. Rogers stayed with the team for the whole season. He was selected a Florida State League All-Star with the Jupiter Hammerheads, where he started the 2019 season. In August, he was called up to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. Rogers was 6–10 with a 2.90 ERA over 23 starts with both clubs, striking out 150 batters in 136+1⁄3 innings. Rogers was added to the active roster on August 25, 2020. He pitched four scoreless innings and gave up only one hit in his opening game against the New York Mets.
