Early life
Miller was reared in Santa Monica, California, where he was born on August 23, 1985. He is the second child of real estate investor Michael D. Miller and his wife Miriam (née Glosser), who are Jewish. In order to flee the anti-Jewish pogroms that occurred in Belarus and other regions of the Russian Empire between 1903 and 1906, the mother’s ancestors, Wolf Lieb Glotzer and his wife Bessie, left Antopol, in what is now Belarus, and immigrated to the United States.
