Naveen-ul-Haq, born on 23 September 1999, is a cricketer who marked his international debut for Afghanistan in September 2016. He began his first-class career with Kabul Region in the 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament. Over the years, he has played for various teams including Nangarhar, Sylhet Thunder, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Kandy Tuskers, Leicestershire Foxes, and Colombo Stars, showcasing his talent in different premier leagues. In February 2021, he joined Leicestershire Foxes for the 2021 T20 Blast tournament and continued with them for the following summer in England. Noteworthy performances include his five-wicket haul against Worcestershire Rapids in a T20 Blast match in June 2022.

Naveen debuted in One Day International (ODI) cricket against Bangladesh on 25 September 2016 after being part of Afghanistan’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He captained Afghanistan in the 2016 Under-19 Asia Cup. His Twenty20 (T20) debut for Afghanistan was against Namibia on 19 January 2017. Naveen was later appointed as the captain of Afghanistan’s squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was selected in Afghanistan’s T20I squad for the 2019–20 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series and made his T20I debut against Bangladesh on 21 September 2019. In September 2021, he was included in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
