Early life
Tuli was born on August 19, 1986, in Odisha. Her hometown is in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun. When she was in college, she won the Miss Uttraranchal pageant. Her mother works for an NGO, and her father is employed by Tata Steel. Shrikant Tuli, her younger brother, is the owner of the record label SVMT Music.
Career
With Sai Kiran in the film Saththaa (2004), Tuli made her screen debut early. Moving to Mumbai, she attended the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting School to study acting. She also worked as a model, appearing in commercials for companies including Airtel, Lenovo, UltraTech Cement, Godrej, Fiama Di Wills, Domino’s Pizza, and Karbonn Mobiles. In the 2008 Indian thriller Homam, written and directed by J. D. Chakravarthy, she portrayed the attractive Satya in a supporting role. The film was somewhat inspired by Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, another Hollywood production from 2006. Tuli played the aspirant model Kushi in STAR One’s Toss (2009), her next film in the character of Sherry, and after a brief appearance as Bindiya in Zed TV’s supernatural serial opera Shree (2008-2009).
