Standing at 6 feet 10 inches, Karlo Matković is a professional basketball player who was selected by the New Orleans Pelicans as the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft. Although he joined the Pelicans for the 2022 NBA Summer League, he did not play for the team during the 2022–23 season. Over the years, Matković has played for various teams, including Košarkarski klub Cedevita Olimpija and Košarkaški klub Mega Basket, participating in leagues such as the 2018–19 Croatian League, the 2019–20 Serbian League, and the 2020–21 ABA League. In 2024, Matković signed a two-way contract with the Pelicans and began playing as a center/power forward for the Birmingham Squadron. He made his NBA debut in a game against the Chicago Bulls, where the Pelicans secured a 123-111 victory.

Early Career
In 2017, Matković participated in the Jordan Brand Classic camp. In August 2018, he took part in the Basketball Without Borders Europe camp in Belgrade, Serbia, where he represented Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Professional Career
Matković was promoted to the senior team of Cedevita during the 2018–19 Croatian League season. In April 2019, he signed his first professional contract with Cedevita. In September 2019, he was loaned to OKK Beograd for the 2019–20 Serbian League season. The following year, in August 2020, he was loaned to Mega Soccerbet for the 2020–21 ABA season.
After the 2020–21 season, Matković declared for the 2021 NBA Draft but withdrew from consideration on July 19, 2021. In April 2022, he declared for the NBA Draft again and was selected 52nd overall by the New Orleans Pelicans. He joined them for the 2022 NBA Summer League but did not play for the team during the 2022–23 NBA season. On July 23, 2022, he signed with Cedevita Olimpija.
