Arthur Gustav Malzahn III born October 28, 1965 is an American football coach currently serving as the offensive coordinator at Florida State. He was previously the head coach at the University of Central Florida (UCF) from 2021 to 2025, Auburn University from 2013 to 2020, and Arkansas State in 2012. Malzahn also served as Auburn’s offensive coordinator from 2009 to 2011, where he helped guide the 2010 Auburn Tigers to a national championship victory. As head coach at Auburn, he led the team to an SEC Championship and an appearance in the 2014 National Championship Game. Malzahn has coached Heisman winner Cam Newton, as well as two Heisman finalists, Nick Marshall and Tre Mason, and has mentored 14 All-Americans. During his time at Auburn, he was the second-longest tenured head coach in the SEC, behind only Nick Saban. Before his head coaching roles at Arkansas State and Auburn, Malzahn was the offensive coordinator at the University of Arkansas and the University of Tulsa.
