Kanika Dhillon Early Life
Kanika was born in Amritsar and completed her undergraduate studies at St. Stephen’s College in Delhi before pursuing a master’s degree at the London School of Economics. After graduating, she moved to Mumbai, where she began her career as a script supervisor at Shah Rukh Khan’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. She later worked as an assistant director on the 2007 film “Om Shanti Om” and contributed to various television series, including the NDTV Imagine sitcom “Ghar Ki Baat Hai” (2009) and the Disney India show “Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De” (2010–2011).
In 2011, Kanika published her first novel, “Bombay Duck is a Fish,” which humorously explores the world of Bollywood through the eyes of an aspiring actress. Critics praised the book for its engaging and witty narrative. Following this success, she served as a screenwriter for the superhero film “Ra.One” in 2011, directed by Anubhav Sinha and starring Khan. Inspired by the doomsday theories of 2012, she released “Shiva & The Rise of The Shadows” in 2013.
