Early life
Fox was the daughter of two Olympic athletes and was born in Marseille, France. At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Richard Fox, her father, competed for Great Britain in the singles kayak (K1) slalom. Myriam Fox-Jerusalmi, her mother, represented France in the women’s K1 slalom at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta in 1992 and 1996. In the subsequent competition, she took home a bronze medal. Noemie Fox, Fox’s younger sister, competes in canoe slalom as well. Fox and her family relocated to Penrith, New South Wales, Australia, when she was four years old. Her father is a five-time world champion, the current high-performance manager of Australian Canoeing, and the second vice president of the International Canoe Federation. While her father is not Jewish, Fox and her mother Myriam Jerusalmi are both Jewish. Career
Fox is coached by her mother, Myriam, and competes in K1 and C1 events. In 2005, she began participating in the sport by paddling the Nepean River. She is connected to both the New South Wales Institute of Sport and the Australian Institute of Sport, and she holds a scholarship. She competes on behalf of the Penrith Valley Canoe Club. Fox made her attempt for the Australian senior national squad in September 2009. In 2009, she participated in the ICF World Ranking in Merano, Italy, where she placed third in the K1 category.
