| Road Accident in Patna Ishan Kishan and his father was involved in a road accident on 12 January 2016 in the Kankarbagh area of Patna. According to once source, Ishan was driving the car when it collided with an autorikshaw, and according to another source, his father driving the car, and Ishan was sitting in the front seat during the moment of the accident. During the accident, one woman was injured who was later admitted to a hospital for treatment. The local public present at the site of accident had an argument with Ishan and his father and also beat them up before police arrived and intervened between them. Vijay Kumar Mishra, the Officer In Charge of Kankarbagh police station, later talked to the media and said that both parties reached a mutual agreement, No FIR was filed against anyone regarding the accident, and neither Ishan nor his father were arrested. Rejected to play Duleep Trophy Selectors of the East Zone team in the Duleep Trophy contacted Ishan Kishan before the 2023 season to ask about his schedule if he was free to play in the Duleep Trophy. Career
Ishan Kishan has been passionate about cricket since he was a child, preferring playing and watching the sport over studying. He attended Delhi Public School, Patna for his primary education, followed by Commerce College, Patna for higher studies. Encouraged by his brother, Ishan recognized his talent for cricket and began playing for a cricket club.
Domestic career
When Ishan Kishan wanted to be a cricketer, he played for Jharkhand as advised. His good play led him to join the Jharkhand team for Ranji matches. In 2016-17, he scored 273 runs against Delhi, the highest for Jharkhand. His great performance made him the Under-19 India team captain.
Indian Premier League Career (IPL)
Ishan Kishan became Under-19 team captain. In 2016 IPL auction, Gujarat Lions bought him for 35 lakhs. Later, Mumbai Indians bought him for 6.2 crores in 2018. In the 2020 season, he scored 516 runs in 14 matches. He also won the award for hitting the most sixes that year. In the Mega IPL auction of 2022, Mumbai Indians got Ishan Kishan for 15.25 crores. This deal made him the second most expensive Indian player after Yuvraj Singh, who was bought by Delhi Daredevils for 16 crores in 2015.
International career
Ishan Kishan made his international debut on March 14, 2021, playing against England. He scored 56 runs off 32 balls in his first T20 match for India. His maiden One Day International (ODI) match was against Sri Lanka on July 18, 2021, where he scored 59 runs from 42 deliveries.
