George Anthony Devolder Santos was born on July 22, 1988, to Fátima Aziza Caruso Horta Devolder and Gercino Antônio dos Santos Jr. (known as Junior), both of whom were born in Brazil. He has a younger sister named Tiffany. His maternal grandparents, Paulo Horta Devolder and Rosalina Caruso Horta Devolder, were both born in Brazil. Three of his four maternal great-grandparents were born in Brazil, while the other was born in Belgium. Fátima Devolder moved to Florida as a migrant worker to gather beans in 1985. She later relocated to New York City and worked as a housekeeper, chef, and nanny. Gercino Santos was a house painter. Santos claimed dual citizenship in the United States and Brazil. Early career
From October 2011 to July 2012, Santos worked as a customer service agent at Dish Network’s call center in College Point, Queens. He was hired because of his second language skills and handled calls from consumers who spoke Portuguese.
