Born in Dublin in 1976 to Nora and Jim Scott, Andrew is the second of three children, with an older sister named Sarah and a younger sister named Hannah. His mother was an art teacher, and his father worked at an employment agency. Raised as a Catholic, Scott no longer practices the faith.
