Early life
The son of Christina and Michael Dressel, Dressel was born on August 16, 1996, in Green Cove Springs, Florida. His father is a veterinarian who specializes in providing dogs and cats with emergency care. Dressel is the third of four children; his father, his three siblings—a brother and two sisters—and himself were all involved in competitive swimming, where they all established records and won awards at the high school and collegiate levels.
