After placing second in the tenth season of Nouvelle Star, a French singing reality television series, she gained notoriety. After that, she joined Polydor Records and released her debut album, Yseult, in 2015. Rouge (2019), Noir (2019), and Brut (2020) are her three extended plays that she has independently published after leaving Polydor. Life and career
In Tergnier, in the department of Aisne, France, on August 19, 1994, Yseult Onguenet was born to parents from Cameroon. Early on, Onguenet recognized she had a gift for music, but her father forbade her from pursuing her career. As a result, Onguenet had to skip school to attend a Nouvelle Star audition in Paris. After auditioning and advancing through the competition since the show’s October 2013 airing, Yseult participated in the Nouvelle Star final in February 2014. She sang songs including “Roar,” “Feeling Good,” and “Wasting My Young Years” throughout her time on the competition. She faced off against Mathieu Saikaly, the season’s champion, in the final. Onguenet revealed that she was getting ready after the concert and signed with Polydor Records under the name Yseult.
