Early life
Vishnu was born on December 2, 1993, in the Alappuzha region of Kerala, in the Chengannur Kallissery district. He had studied in MGM Higher High School in Thiruvalla and High School Ranni in Perunad. He graduated from Mar Thoma College in Thiruvalla with honours in politics.
Domestic career
On April 3, 2014, he made his Twenty20 debut for Kerala versus Karnataka in the 2014–15 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season.[4] On November 10, 2014, he made his debut on the List A against Hyderabad during the 2014–15 Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign in Kerala.On November 5, 2016, he made his Kerala first-class debut in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy. He made his first-class century versus Madhya Pradesh in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, hitting an undefeated 193 off 282 balls.
In the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored the most runs for Kerala with 508 from 8 matches, with an average of 63.50, including 3 hundreds.
Indian Premier League
After KL Rahul, a wicketkeeper-batter, was declared ineligible for the 2017 Indian Premier League, Vishnu got the contract to play for Royal The challengers Bangalore. He scored 19 runs in 3 games in the season and was cut by the squad the following year. In the Indian Premier League in 2018, 2019, and 2020, he was unsold. Vinod was benched the entire season after being bought by the Delhi Caps in the IPL auctions in February 2021, before of the 2021 Indian Premier League.[22][23] Delhi let him go before the Indian Premier League auction in 2022.
