The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the online registration process for the UGC NET June 2024 for the Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions on the official website www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The UGC NET Application Form for the UGC NET- June 2024 exam has been initiated on the official website https://ugcnet.ntaonline.in. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the UGC NET 2024 exam on 16th June 2024 across 83 subjects catering to JRFs and Assistant Professors. Candidates are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria for the NET UGC 2024 examination. Candidates from the general or general AWS category must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 55% marks. The candidates qualifying in the NET, based on a four-year undergraduate degree, will be eligible to apply online for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for admission to the Ph.D but not for Assistant Professor. They have to secured a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in four-year undergraduate degree

Relaxation for Reserved Categories

Candidates belonging to reserved categories are granted a relaxation of 5% in qualification.

SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

Exemption for State Eligibility Test (SET)

Candidates who have successfully cleared the State Eligibility Test (SET) before June 1, 2002, are exempted from appearing for the UGC NET exam.

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2024

The UGC NET 2024 exam will comprise two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will have 50 questions, while Paper 2 will consist of 100 questions. Each correct answer will carry a certain weightage, and there will be no penalty for wrong answers. Paper 1 will be worth 100 marks, while Paper 2 will be worth 200 marks. Candidates will have one hour for Paper 1 and two hours for Paper 2.
