Early life
On May 4, 198, Trisha was born into the Tamil Palakkad Iyer family in Madras, now Chennai, to Krishnan and Uma Iyer. After completing her education at Church Park, Chennai’s Sacred Heart Matriculation School, she went on to the Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. She tried her hand at modeling, making appearances in a number of print and TV ads. She took first place in the “Miss Salem” beauty pageant in 1999 and then won the Miss Chennai competition the same year. She had also taken home the “Beautiful Smile” trophy from the Miss India 2001 competition.
