He is an all-rounder known for his temperament and skillset, excelling in the middle order with powerful batting and contributing as a valuable seam bowler during the middle overs.
His journey to fame is yet another inspiring story. The individual from Mumbai began playing cricket in his early years. Unfortunately, when he was only 14, financial and fitness challenges forced him to take a break from the sport. Despite this setback, his love for the game drove him to overcome obstacles, leading to a comeback after nearly five years, despite health and fitness struggles. He was later chosen to represent Mumbai Under-23 at 19 and has continued to pursue a career in professional cricket ever since.
Having played junior cricket regularly for his state, he debuted in Twenty20 for Mumbai in January 2016 during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The following year, he made his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He gained attention when he hit five sixes in a single over during the final day of their Ranji Trophy match against Baroda in 2018.
His outstanding performance in the local leagues led to him securing a lucrative Rs 5 crore contract with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2019. Despite sporadic appearances for RCB over two years, Dube was later acquired by Rajasthan Royals in 2021 for one season. Shivam Dube started playing cricket at the age of six.
His father enrolled him in Chandrakant Pandit Cricket Academy, Andheri West, Mumbai to learn cricket.
