Born in Chandigarh, India, on September 6, 1988, Sargun Mehta comes from a typical Punjabi family. She has a younger brother, Pulkit Mehta, and is the eldest in her family at age 34. Her mother, Aradhana Mehta, and father, Harish Mehta, have always been encouraging to her and call her Jiya. In Punjab, Sargun attended Sacred Heart Convent School for her tenth grade education and Carmel Convent School for her eleventh and twelfth grades. She went to Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College for her further schooling, where she studied for a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
