DR. RICKY L. JONES is a professor of Pan-African Studies at the University of Louisville and the Baldwin•King Scholar-in-Residence at the Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute. The native of Atlanta, Georgia completed her undergraduate studies at Morehouse College, the alma mater of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the U.S. Naval Academy. At the University of Kentucky, where he focused on comparative politics and political philosophy, he became just the second African-American to be awarded a Ph.D. in political science.Black Haze: Violence, Sacrifice, and Manhood in Black Greek-Letter Fraternities, in two editions, and What’s Wrong with Obamamania? Black America, Black Leadership, and the Death of Political Imagination are two of his books.
