Ricky Bhui, born on 29 September 1996, is an Indian cricketer known for his skills as a right-handed batsman and occasional leg spinner. He made a remarkable debut by scoring unbeaten centuries in both List A and Twenty20 matches. Bhui has played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in the IPL and was the youngest player in India’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Additionally, he has led the India U17 team and was later acquired by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 IPL auction. Bhui, who studied at Visakha Valley School in Visakhapatnam, was the sole player from the Andhra Pradesh Ranji team to participate in IPL 2018. In the 2024 IPL auction, he was bought by Delhi Capitals for 20 lakhs as an uncapped Wicket-Keeper. Bhui excelled as the highest run-scorer for Andhra in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, accumulating 775 runs in eight matches. His talent was further recognized when he was selected for the India Blue team’s squad in the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy. However, he was released by the Sunrisers Hyderabad before the 2020 IPL auction.
