Domestic Career
Jadeja made his Under-19 debut for India in 2005 at the age of 16. He then represented India in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup held in Sri Lanka. Following his outstanding performance in the tournament, he was named vice-captain for the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup, contributing significantly to India’s win. Additionally, Jadeja started his first-class career by playing for West Zone in the Duleep Trophy and for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy during the 2006-07 season. In 2012, he achieved the milestone of being the first Indian and eighth overall to score three triple centuries in first-class cricket.
IPL Career of Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja debuted in the IPL for Rajasthan Royals during the league’s first season in 2008, where he played a significant role in the team’s success. Shane Warne, who captained Rajasthan Royals in 2008, praised Jadeja as a promising talent and gave him the nickname “Rockstar.”
Jadeja was absent from the 2010 IPL season due to a ban related to contract issues. He was later signed by the Kochi Tuskers Kerala for a substantial sum of $950,000 in 2011. However, the Kochi Tuskers Kerala franchise was expelled from the IPL in September 2011.
