Veteran BJP leader and former MP Prabhat Jha, who previously served as the Madhya Pradesh BJP president, passed away at the age of 67 in Gurugram. He had been unwell for an extended period and was flown to Delhi from Bhopal two weeks ago due to a sudden deterioration in his health. Born on June 4, 1957, in Hariharpur, Bihar, Jha held various significant positions within the BJP, including Madhya Pradesh BJP president from May 2010 to December 2012, and a Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh starting April 2008. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow at Jha’s passing, acknowledging his pivotal role in fortifying the party. Modi praised Jha’s contributions to journalism, writing, and public service, extending his condolences to the late leader’s family and supporters.
