At Lady Irwin School and Delhi Public School, where she was admitted on the basis of merit to finish her high school education, she finished her early schooling in Delhi. She then proceeded to earn an MBA in International Business and Marketing at FORE School of Management in Delhi and Maastricht School of Management in Holland after completing an honors degree in economics at Shri Ram College of Commerce in Delhi. A Ph.D. in International Business and Marketing from Ecole Supérieure Robert de Sorbon was granted to Gupta in 2022. Following her marriage to Puneet Gupta, an Indian-born pharmacist from Belfast, she traveled to the western part of Scotland. They are parents to two girls. Gupta experienced an uncommon type of bone tuberculosis during her second pregnancy.
Gupta has made philanthropic contributions to organizations that support women’s issues, underprivileged children, cancer, animal protection, gender equality, and the education of young girls in India. Gupta and her late husband Puneet Gupta participated in rickshaw races in 2015 and 2017 in order to collect money for Elephant Family, an organization dedicated to protecting Asian elephants that was started by the late Mark Shand, the brother of the Duchess of Cornwall and a conservationist. Gupta founded the Women’s Business Mentoring group in 2017 with the goal of assisting Scottish women in achieving success by offering mentorship programs all around the nation.
