Every Tuesday and Friday night, including holidays, at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the Mega Millions jackpot is drawn.[5] The twelve original lotteries work together to administer Mega Millions. [6][7] Under the direction of the Georgia Lottery, the drawings take place at the WSB-TV studios in Atlanta, Georgia.[8] Adria Wofford, Carol Blackmon, and John Crow are the hosts. The current Mega Millions regulations, which went into effect on October 28, 2017, with the first drawing taking place on October 31, stipulate that the minimum advertised prize is $20 million, with payments made in 30 graded annual installments that increase by 5% annually (unless the cash option is selected). If there is no winner of the top prize, the jackpot rises.
